The country's cost competitiveness in providing IT services, which is approximately 3-4 times cheaper than the US, continues to be the mainstay of its Unique Selling Proposition (USP) in the global sourcing market. The country's IT industry amounts to 12.3 percent of the world market due to exports. Going forward, the industry is likely to see improvement in margin due to depreciation in rupee and strong global economic outlook.
